Our Family Farm
The Fitzmaurice family has been farming in North Kerry for generations, and while our farm has become known for breeding award winning pedigree Holsteins through Leagh Holsteins, we've always believed that farming is about more than producing livestock. It's about creating something that can be enjoyed by future generations.
For decades, our family has invested in building one of Ireland's leading pedigree Holstein herds, introducing world class genetics and continuing a passion for breeding that began over 60 years ago. That same commitment to quality, hard work and innovation has always been at the heart of everything we do on the farm.
As our own family continues to grow, so too has our vision for the farm. We wanted to create a place where children could experience the countryside, where families could make lasting memories together, and where the next generation could develop the same appreciation for farming and nature that we were lucky enough to grow up with.
That's how Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch was born.
What began as an idea to diversify our family farm has grown into a new autumn tradition. Every pumpkin, trail, play area and photo spot has been designed with families in mind, creating a fun, relaxed day out in the heart of the Kerry countryside overlooking the Shannon estuary.
