1. General
By purchasing a ticket for, entering or attending Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch is a seasonal outdoor family attraction operating on a working farm. Visitors are expected to act responsibly, follow all signage and safety instructions, and respect our staff, animals, property and other visitors.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary for operational, safety or legal reasons. The version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply to your visit.
2. Tickets and Booking
Tickets must be purchased through our authorised ticketing provider, Eventbrite, unless otherwise stated.
Your booking is confirmed once you have completed payment and received a booking confirmation and valid ticket. Tickets may be presented either electronically or in printed form.
- Everyone aged 2 years and over requires a valid ticket.
- Children under 2 years of age enter free of charge and do not require a ticket.
- All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Tickets are valid only for the date and timed arrival slot shown on the booking.
- Please arrive within your allocated arrival slot. Once admitted, visitors may remain on site for two hours.
- The ticket holder is responsible for checking all booking details before completing their purchase.
- Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain.
- We reserve the right to refuse admission where a ticket is invalid, duplicated, altered or obtained through unauthorised means.
Eventbrite booking and service fees are applied by Eventbrite and are shown during the booking process. These fees may not be refundable.
3. Changes, Transfers, Refunds and Cancellations
Please book carefully, as tickets are purchased for a specific date and arrival slot.
3.1 Customer Cancellations
Tickets are non-refundable if you are unable to attend.
3.2 Ticket Transfers
Tickets may be transferred to another person if you are unable to attend. The person using the ticket must comply with all Terms and Conditions and meet any applicable ticket requirements.
Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain or offered through unauthorised resale platforms.
3.3 Cancellation by Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch
If Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch cancels an entire session or closes the attraction for the duration of your booked visit, affected ticket holders will be offered either:
- A transfer to another available session during the same season; or
- If the Event is cancelled in its entirety and not rescheduled, ticket holders shall be entitled to a refund of the face value of the ticket only.
- Booking fees, service charges, administration fees, travel expenses, accommodation expenses, parking costs and any other consequential losses shall not be refundable.
- If the Event is postponed, tickets shall remain valid for the rescheduled date unless otherwise stated.
Booking fees or third-party service charges may not be refundable where these have already been retained by the ticketing provider.
We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of cancellation, including travel, accommodation, childcare or other expenses.
4. Weather Policy
Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch is primarily an outdoor attraction located on a working farm.
We operate in normal Irish autumn weather, including rain, wind and muddy conditions. Visitors should dress appropriately and wear suitable footwear. Wet or unpleasant weather alone is not grounds for a refund.
We may delay, modify, suspend or close part or all of the attraction where weather conditions create a genuine safety risk. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Met Éireann weather warnings;
- High winds;
- Flooding;
- Severe storms;
- Unsafe ground conditions; or
- Any other circumstances which may present a risk to visitors, staff or animals.
Where a booked session is cancelled by us, affected ticket holders will be offered a transfer to another available session.
Individual attractions, activities or areas may occasionally be unavailable due to weather, maintenance, operational requirements, safety concerns or animal welfare. Where the main attraction remains open, the temporary unavailability of an individual activity or attraction will not normally entitle visitors to a refund.
5. Entry and Visitor Conduct
We want Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch to be a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the site without refund, any person whose behaviour is considered:
- Unsafe;
- Aggressive;
- Abusive or threatening;
- Disorderly;
- Intoxicated;
- Unlawful;
- Damaging to property;
- Harmful or disruptive to animals or other visitors; or
- In breach of these Terms and Conditions or instructions from staff.
All visitors must comply with site signage, safety notices and reasonable instructions from Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch staff.
6. Safety on the Farm
Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch operates on a working farm. Visitors should be aware that farm environments may contain hazards not normally found in other leisure attractions.
Visitors must take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of those in their party. In particular:
- Stay within designated visitor areas at all times.
- Farm machinery, equipment, slurry areas, water hazards and restricted livestock areas are strictly off limits unless clearly identified as part of the visitor experience.
- Children must be supervised at all times, particularly around animals, play areas, tractors, the bale maze and uneven ground.
- Do not climb on hay bales, fences, machinery, gates, tractors or other structures unless they are specifically designated for visitor use.
- Follow all safety signage and staff instructions.
- Suitable footwear must be worn at all times. Ground conditions may be uneven, muddy or slippery.
- Visitors must not enter restricted areas or cross barriers.
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from the site without refund.
7. Animals
The welfare of our animals is extremely important to us. Visitors must:
- Follow all signage and staff instructions around animals.
- Supervise children at all times.
- Wash their hands after touching animals and before eating or drinking.
- Not feed animals unless specifically permitted to do so using approved feed supplied on site.
- Not chase, frighten, climb on, lift or otherwise interfere with animals.
We reserve the right to restrict access to animal areas or remove an animal from public interaction where necessary for welfare or safety reasons.
8. Pumpkins
Where included with your booking, each eligible booking entitles the holder to select one medium-sized pumpkin, subject to availability and the specific terms of the ticket purchased.
Additional pumpkins and seasonal produce may be available to purchase separately and will be priced according to size or type.
Please select only pumpkins that you intend to purchase or take home. Visitors must follow any instructions provided regarding pumpkin picking, handling or cutting.
We reserve the right to substitute or amend the pumpkin selection process where necessary due to availability, weather, crop conditions or operational requirements.
9. Dogs and Animals Brought onto Site
Dogs and other pets are not permitted on site.
Registered assistance dogs are welcome. We recommend contacting us in advance so that we can provide information regarding access and the suitability of different areas of the attraction.
10. Photography, Filming and Drones
Visitors are welcome to take photographs and videos for personal use.
By entering Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch, visitors acknowledge that photography and filming may take place on site for promotional, marketing and social media purposes.
If you do not wish for yourself or a member of your party to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of staff on arrival and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
Commercial photography, professional filming, organised photo shoots and drone use are not permitted without our prior written permission.
11. Personal Property and Lost Property
Visitors are responsible for their own belongings at all times.
Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch cannot accept responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal property brought onto the site, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Lost property found on site will be retained for up to 14 days after the end of the season, where reasonably practicable. Visitors who have lost an item should contact us with a description of the property and the date of their visit.
12. Accessibility
We aim to make Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch as accessible as reasonably possible.
However, as this is an outdoor attraction on a working farm, some areas may include uneven, muddy or natural ground and may not be suitable for all mobility requirements, particularly in wet weather.
Where possible, our main visitor routes and facilities will be accessible. However, access to certain areas, including the pumpkin field, maze or other outdoor attractions, may be affected by ground and weather conditions.
Visitors with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking so that we can provide information about the site and help plan your visit.
13. Groups, Schools and Private Bookings
Group and school bookings may be arranged directly with Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch and may be subject to separate booking terms.
Additional conditions may include:
- Minimum group numbers;
- Cancellation deadlines;
- Specific supervision requirements.

14. Changes to the Attraction
We will make every reasonable effort to provide the attraction and activities as advertised.
However, certain attractions, activities, animals, facilities or areas may occasionally be changed, relocated, delayed or unavailable due to:
- Weather conditions;
- Safety concerns;
- Animal welfare;
- Maintenance;
- Operational requirements;
- Staff availability; or
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Changes to individual attractions or activities will not normally entitle visitors to a refund where Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch remains substantially open and operational.
15. Liability
Visitors enter Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch at their own risk and must take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of those in their party.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law. Subject to this, Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch shall not be liable for:
- Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings;
- Costs relating to travel, accommodation or other arrangements;
- Loss arising from delays or changes to the attraction;
- The temporary unavailability of individual activities or facilities; or
- Any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Irish law.
16. Photography, Marketing and Social Media
Photography and video recording may take place throughout Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch.
By attending the attraction, visitors acknowledge that they or members of their party may appear in photographs or video recordings used by Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch for marketing, promotional, website or social media purposes.
If you have concerns about photography or filming, please speak to a member of staff.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time where reasonably necessary for legal, safety or operational reasons.
The version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or for urgent safety reasons.
18. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising in connection with a booking or visit to Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
