Ballybunion Pumpkin Patch, Cloghane, Ballyduff, Co. Kerry, V92 DK76 is the data controller for the personal data described here. We keep this simple: we collect as little as we can, we use it only for the reason you gave it to us, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you book a ticket
Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, not on this website. Eventbrite collects your name, email address, ticket quantity and payment details. We receive your name, email address and booking details from Eventbrite so we can manage attendance and contact you about your visit. We never see or store your card details. Eventbrite processes your data as a separate controller under its own privacy policy.
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and whatever you write in your message, so that we can reply.
When you visit this website
Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising trackers or profiling cookies on this site.
Third parties used on this site
- Google Maps: the map on the "Plan Your Visit" section is embedded from Google. When it loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: typefaces are loaded from Google's font service, which receives your IP address as part of the request.
- Eventbrite: ticketing and payment, as described above.
- Our form provider: messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us via a form handling service, which stores the submission so we can read and reply to it.
Why we're allowed to use it (legal basis)
- Contract: to fulfil your ticket booking and give you the visit you paid for.
- Legitimate interests: to answer your enquiry, keep the site secure, and keep basic business records.
- Legal obligation: to keep the records tax and company law require of us.
How long we keep it
- Booking records: for the current season plus 6 years, as required for tax records.
- Enquiries: up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Server logs: typically 30 days.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers named above, and only to the extent they need it to do their job for us. We do not sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Photography on the farm
We take photographs and video on site for our own marketing, and visitors may appear in them. We rely on our legitimate interest in promoting the farm. If you would rather not be photographed, tell a member of staff on arrival, or email us afterwards and we will remove any image of you from our channels.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Bookings and enquiries should be made by a parent or guardian.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Ask us to erase your data where we have no ongoing reason to keep it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.
- Ask us to send your data to another provider.
Email info@ballybunionpumpkinpatch.com and we'll respond within one month. There's no charge.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, dataprotection.ie.
